WHO IS THERE TO SAVE THE PEACE?
From the precipice of doom Who is there to save the peace Ukraine is clenched into the jaws of death Shattering slowly The lifeblood of the innocent is dripping away From the mill of this cruelty The highway and streets and the corridors Of Ukraine Witness life being scattered The thread of life Flickers in the blasts and fires of war. Who will stop this barbarism? anyone? are all the giants of the world deaf and dumb Who will stop this downpour of blood Which even death sees and whimpers In the corners of the ruins of Ukraine The age of innocence and of patience And the helpless youth have fled their homes of old And are scattered, scared like birds of prey Life, like an unshrouded corpse, is echoing Like a silent cry From the rubble of destroyed homes and streets To the great halls of the United Nations Is this terrible A prelude to nuclear war.
